Takaaki Itoh

Takaaki Itohlive @ Klubnacht, Berghain, Berlin 13-07-2013, 80 x 100

I was looking for the Berghain sound and YouTube presented me with Takaaki Itoh. The electrifying track that started this set (video below) was enough to give inspiration to 3 paintings.

The piece featured above is an abstraction of Berghain’s interior.

  1. This is really a nice piece of work, despite knowing next to 0! about art.

It certainly encapsulates the feeling of the lovely Saturated, Reverberated & Delayed Sawtooth Waves found on the intro to his set.

I found your work through a mutual love for Taakaki Itoh’s DJ sets, as well as his production.

I listened to his sets a lot to focus when finishing up my interpreting course.

Despite this fact, I am really very naive to the Techno scene. I try & learn more each week, but it is absolutely vast & difficult to orientate myself through to find the work I love to hear most.

I am however, extremely knowledgeable in: 1994’-2024’ London/Bristol Jungle/170/Drum & Bass. If you are ever interested, I can send you links to tracks that are influenced by techno artists such Taakaki Itoh, as well as other obscure & interesting producers/labels, who I believe would provide you with interesting ideas for producing your artwork. The difficult bit for me, would be trying to not send you too much, due to my unlimited passion for the genre, (despite absolutely despising 95% of the genre.))))

Best of success to you & I’ll try & keep an eye on your page from now on.

    Thank you,

    Aidan.
